Smashing glass is fun, but lobbing nades into windows so that the explosion destroys the window frame is much more satisfying.  The end result is great, and with little effort.First carve a window with frame and glass with texturebuilding_template/building_template013f



Select one glass brush and right click in the 3D view and press ctrl + t to make it an entity.  Choose func_breakableand call it glass01.  Do the same for each glass brush and call them glass01 as well.  



Now select the frame brushes and use ctrl + t to create a func_breakable.  Call the entity frame01.  On the outputs section add an output according to the figure below.



And there you have it.  When the frames are broken, the glass will automatically break with them. Go test your new Half Life 2 map!
